Aberfoyle – early celebration of my 70th

June 2014

Been busy. Spent a lot of time trying to keep the greenhouse plants well watered and also the rest of the garden. It has been so hot. Even this mornings rain has fizzled out.

Wildlife in the garden has been very quiet since my baby blue-tits fledged. but did have a great weekend in Lancashire when Leighton Moss was the main venue. Saw my first marsh tit and got some OK photos. Was going to try sitting drawing but still too self-conscious when there are people about. Only one wee drawing of nasturtiums in a planter.

We visited Cobble Hey farm which was lovely The gardens are well worth a visit. Got good flower photos there.

Have sent in one of my bumble bee photos to the Country Living photo competition. If you never try…..

Yesterday we took the grandchildren to Queen Elizabeth Forest Park near Aberfoyle where I wanted to check out the zip wire at Go Ape. I wanted to do it for my 70th at the end of the month. Suffice to say I was able to do it there and then because it was still quiet. Amazing experience, just like a bird flying through and above the trees and a waterfall.
